STUTTGART, Germany --
Robert Bosch GmbH said its full year 2005 sales rose by just under 5 percent to some $51 billion and recorded a slight increase in earnings.
"We have achieved our targets," chief executive Franz Fehrenbach said.
Looking ahead, the CEO said: "We are confident about our prospects for the current year. We anticipate growth to be somewhat stronger in 2006 than in 2005."
In the automotive technology segment, sales rose by 4 percent to approximately $31 billion, while sales of consumer goods and building technology approached the $12 billion mark for the first time.
The largest growth was recorded by the industrial technology unit, up 8 percent to just under $7 billion.
