DOVER, NJ --
Icas Computer Systems Inc., a provider of management software for automotive and heavy-duty aftermarket distribution companies, has added a Central Order Entry (COE) module to its PaceSetter software.
According to Icas, this new feature is a true value-add for any multi-location distributor who has a central order desk that takes inbound orders and distributes the order to the appropriate geographical location or ‘home location.’ As orders are received, the order taker enters the customer account number or locates the account by phone number or name search. PaceSetter COE directs the order to the home location of the customer. The pick ticket, shipping document and final invoice are printed in the appropriate stocking location. The order can be processed directly as an invoice for those locations that prefer to use the final invoice as a picking and shipping document. The order taker can also easily create location-to-location stock transfers, drop shipments, split orders, buy-outs or special order purchase orders without having to leave the order entry screen. Month-end accounts receivable statements can be processed by each location or consolidated into a central accounting location.
