HANOVER, Germany -- The Continental AG Board of Supervisors has appointed William Kozyra as a deputy executive board member. The appointment takes effect immediately.

Kozyra is president and CEO of Continental Teves Inc. in Auburn Hills, MI. He is responsible for the automotive systems division's NAFTA business. According to the company, this appointment underscores the growing significance of this region for Continental and demonstrates the company's strong international orientation, now reflected at the executive board level as well. Kozyra’s appointment gives Continental an executive board member in North America to represent its interests locally in dealings with key OE customers located in the region.

Kozyra will continue to report to Dr. Karl-Thomas Neumann, who is in charge of the automotive systems division at Continental AG.
