SMYRNA, TN -- Robert (Bob) Anderson has been promoted to vice president of product management for Beck/Arnley. In his new position, Anderson will be responsible for product management, sourcing, pricing and purchasing.

Anderson began his career in the automotive aftermarket in 1984, when he joined McCord Gaskets as a product specialist and continued in the role with Clevite Engine Parts when the two companies merged. He was promoted to senior product specialist in 1985, and then to product manager in 1986.

Anderson accepted the position of product team leader in 1991, where his responsibilities included product management, sourcing, purchasing and new product launches. Anderson served in this role until 2003, when he was named director of business development for Beck/Arnley and later director of marketing.

Anderson received a BS in business administration, with a focus in management, from Central Michigan University. He has also completed the aftermarket program at Northwood University and holds a professional membership with the Society of Automotive Engineers. In addition, Anderson is a member of AWDA, AAIA and AIA.
