HARTFORD, CT -- As of this month, Permatex has now trained its 100,000th automotive technician through its Permatex Training Clinic Program.

Launched in 1999, Permatex Training Clinics are hour-long, hands-on training programs developed to teach auto technicians and vocational tech students how to save time, reduce cost and increase application reliability of Permatex products. The training sessions focus on gasketing, chemical threadlocking and other core Permatex offerings. Each training session is completed by a member of Permatex’s direct sales force and includes practical user demonstrations, application information, and a Q&A session on vehicle maintenance and repair solutions offered by Permatex. For their participation, attendees are provided with product samples, application guides, Permatex racing hats, and completion certificates.

The milestone marking training was held on February 15 at Murphy’s Auto Care in Beaver Creek, OH. Brian Murphy, a technician at Murphy’s Auto Care, was among the six technicians to be trained by Frank Gardner, Sr., district sales manager at Permatex. Murphy was honored as the 100,000th technician trained by Permatex at an award ceremony held at his business. The shop received a plaque and luncheon, and Murphy received a professional toolbox and Permatex product assortment.
