Illumaware Corp. Offers New Services

WAKE FOREST, NC -- Illumaware Corp., a provider of data translation and synchronization services to major corporations in the automotive aftermarket, has added a new offering to its product lineup. The company has launched an entire suite of services designed to facilitate aftermarket product information management, data synchronization and dissemination. Called EvoKat, the new service lets customers maintain their product data in standards such as PIES and ACES, in addition to other formats.

The product was designed to help streamline data tracking for small- and mid-sized aftermarket suppliers that often track their data in multiple, unconnected formats such as spreadsheets, small office databases and text documents. Illumaware staff assimilates this data and performs the initial load into EvoKat. Automotive suppliers are then able to generate data files for their customers in any format via the fully-integrated ItemExpress service. EvoKat is available to all ItemExpress customers at no additional cost.

Illumaware also offers Clarity reports that show customers their data coverage for each trading partner in any standard. Customers can click a link for a list of part numbers for which they are missing each particular type of information in the PIES specification and others. These lists can then be disseminated to internal departments to get data collection efforts going in parallel. Clarity reports can also be delivered by Illumaware customers to their own customers, to demonstrate data quality and coverage in the standards they expect.

Another feature of the service, MyCarParts, allows participating aftermarket suppliers to showcase their products to a global audience by extending their current web presence to include all PIES and ACES data maintained in EvoKat. Participation in MyCarParts is available only to customers of Illumaware’s ItemExpress service.

In addition, the service features AutoLingua, an industry-specific language translation service. According to Illumaware, AutoLingua customers can receive quotes to have any of their product information translated into nearly any language, at a fraction of the price of hiring custom translators. Translations to nearly any major global language are available, including German, Polish, Hindi, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Hungarian, Romanian and more.

New functionality will be added to the product monthly. Illumaware will showcase these solutions at the upcoming 2006 NCMA conference in Myrtle Beach, SC.
