MEMPHIS, TN -- Mike Kamal has stepped down as co-president of the Automotive Distribution Network (ADN), a position he has held since January 2005. Mike Lambert will remain president of the program group.

Kamal, former executive director of Independent Auto Parts of America, and Lambert, former president of PartsPlus, became co-presidents of ADN when the two program groups merged in January 2005.

“I am leaving the Network and returning to Atlanta to spend more time with my two sons, Derek and Steve,” said Kamal. “They are at the age when they will soon have families of their own, so my time is running out. For much of my career, I traveled extensively and didn’t spend enough time with them. When I was at IAPA in Atlanta, I enjoyed our time together. Being in Memphis for over a year has made me realize how much I miss hanging out with them.

“My time in Memphis with the Network has been very rewarding and enjoyable,” he continued. “I leave with nothing but fond memories. The board, the staff, Mike Lambert and I can all take great pride in a job well done.”

Mike Lambert stated that Kamal was instrumental in working through the intricacies of the merger between Parts Plus and IAPA. “He brought a wealth of knowledge to the association regarding the industry in general, and the members in particular,” said Lambert.
