1-800 Radiator Opens Franchise in Miami
June 6, 2006

MIAMI, FL -- Auto parts distribution franchise 1-800 Radiator has increased its stake in the franchise industry with the opening of outlets in Miami and Jacksonville, FL. The rapidly expanding parts distributor has opened 16 outlets since the year's start, and plans to open 17 more within the next four months.

1-800 Radiator franchises consist of a warehouse and a protected territory for each franchisee. Because these territories are proprietary there are only 250 franchises available in the United States. The company expects to award all 250 of these locations within the next three years. Approximately 20 territories are available in Florida. Already, 1-800 Radiator has sold six of these locations.

Brandon Barrows and Patrick Kivlahan own the Miami outlet. Before opening their franchise Barrows and Kivlahan were both parts managers for a Lexus dealership in Miami. Between them, they have 24 years of experience in the automotive industry. Automotive experience is not, however, prerequisite for franchise ownership, according to the company. The company provides up to four weeks of training to prospective franchisees. The training focuses on how to use the company's computer systems, the basics of the radiator market and tips on how to grow their business quickly.
