DES PLAINES, IL -- Littelfuse has signed a definitive agreement to purchase the assets of Catalina Performance Accessories Inc. of Mountainburg, AR, for $4.5 million in cash. Catalina Performance Accessories markets and distributes the Smart Glow automotive blade fuse product line. The company has annual sales of approximately $2 million.

"The Smart Glow fuse product line is a good fit for Littelfuse,” said David Heinzmann, VP and general manager of Littlefuse’s Automotive Business Unit. “It complements our already broad product offerings for the automotive aftermarket and will add further value to our customer relationships. Littelfuse has a strong product position and is a well-recognized brand in the automotive aftermarket. This acquisition reflects our ongoing commitment to grow this segment of our business, and is part of our overall company strategy to acquire companies and technologies that enhance our product portfolio and strengthen our customer base."

The acquisition is expected to be neutral to Littelfuse earnings in 2006. The transaction is expected to be completed in June.
