LANSDALE, PA -- CARQUEST and MACS Worldwide have extended the deadline for technicians who wish to register for the mobile A/C and heat transfer tech of the year contest. The deadline has been extended to Thursday, July 27.

Technicians who are certified in refrigerant recycling and recovery may sign up now at www.carquest.com/macs to participate in a series of written and hands-on skill assessments to test their mobile A/C and heat transfer service knowledge.

The grand prize winner will receive a Panasonic 42” Plasma HDTV, a Panasonic 1000W home theater system and the opportunity to wave the green flag as a co-grand marshal at the CARQUEST 300 in Charlotte, NC, on May 26, 2007.

The first runner-up will receive a Canon PowerShot 6 Megapixel Digital Camera and a Canon PIXMA Photo Printer.

The second runner-up will receive a Delphi XM MyFi Satellite Radio and a year’s subscription to XM Satellite Radio.

The winner of the CARQUEST-MACS technical skills competition will be announced at the MACS Worldwide 27th annual Convention and Trade Show, Repair Round-Up! February 1-3, 2007 in Phoenix, AZ.
