LIVERMORE, CA --
Leading auto parts chain O’Reilly Automotive has signed a multi-year agreement to use the Activant PartExpert and Cover-to-Cover electronic catalog products in each of its more than 1,500 store locations. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
The Activant PartExpert electronic catalog offers parts professionals and service writers immediate access to approximately 2,900 manufacturer product lines and more than 4 million part numbers more than any other aftermarket e-catalog, according to the company. Activant’s new Cover-to-Cover graphical e-catalog module emulates the all-in-one value of a printed master catalog, with immediate access to product images, warranty details, technical service bulletins and other vital content.
Activant has been a long-time provider of comprehensive product data solutions to O’Reilly. The new agreement, which extends this relationship into 2009, reflects a growing collaboration between the two companies, according to O’Reilly CEO and Co-President Greg Henslee.
“We’ve been very pleased with Activant’s eCatalog technologies and their responsiveness to our needs as our organization continues its aggressive growth,” Henslee said. “PartExpert and the Cover-to-Cover graphical catalog module are the tools our team members want to better serve our professional and do-it-yourself customers. We look forward to implementing it into our first stores later this year along with our new graphical point of sale system.”
Based in Springfield, MO, O’Reilly has grown from a single-store enterprise to a $2 billion publicly traded corporation.
“O’Reilly’s growth can be attributed to a very talented executive team and an organizational commitment to excellence in products and service. We’re proud to play a role in helping make their counter staff a model for the auto parts industry,” said Thomas Aliotti, vice president and general manager of the Activant automotive group.
