July 26, 2006
|

PHILADELPHIA -- Despite the news last week that CEO Larry Stevenson had resigned reportedly under pressure from shareholders, Pep Boys continues to press forward with its national initiative to renovate all of its stores across the country.

Each of the company's 18 stores in the Miami, Ft. Lauderdale and West Palm Beach, FL, areas will celebrate Grand Re-Openings beginning this Thursday, July 27. The stores have undergone a significant internal and external transformation as part of a national revitalization effort at all of the company's 593 locations across the country.

Each store has been re-merchandised and stocked with new products ranging from power tools and generators to the latest in mobile entertainment and automotive repair equipment. A contemporary interior design, which reflects the new red, white and blue Pep Boys corporate colors, includes multimedia displays, dynamic signage and customized areas for new product categories. The store facades and exterior signs have also been updated.
