GASTONIA, NC – As part of its extensive NASCAR involvement and ongoing support of the Victory Junction Gang Camp, WIX Filters has announced it will sponsor the third annual Motor Mania Car Show on Oct. 7, in Mooresville, NC.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Victory Junction Gang Camp for seriously ill children. Founded by NASCAR driver Kyle Petty and his wife, Pattie, in honor of their late son Adam, the Victory Junction Gang Camp is free of charge to children and their families. Located in Randleman, NC, on land donated by Richard Petty and his wife, Lynda, the camp is the only year-round multi-disease facility of its kind in the Carolinas and Virginia.

WIX’s sponsorship of the Motor Mania Car Show is part of a continuing commitment to the Victory Junction Gang Camp, which began with a donation of a year’s supply of WIX oil, air and fuel filters in 2005. This year, WIX Filters will donate $75,000 to the camp through sales of the latest offering in the Route WIX Die Cast Collectible Promotion, a 1/24 scale replica of the 1969 Talladega Torino Ford that racing legend Richard Petty drove to his 100th NASCAR victory.

The event offers area automobile enthusiasts the opportunity to display their vehicles and compete for awards, including the WIX Filters award for “Best of Show.” Visitors to the show will also get a chance to check out the WIX Hummer H2, which will be on site at the show.
