ROCKFORD, TN -- Keisler Engineering, a distributor of manual overdrive transmission systems for classic Ford, GM and Chrysler vehicles, has announced plans to expand its inventory to include performance gear boxes for many late model vehicles.

The company, located in Rockford, TN, recently purchased an entire manufacturing line from General Motors’ Muncie, IN, plant. The equipment is now in the process of being installed and assembled for immediate production at a new facility in Maryville, TN.

Shafi Keisler, president and owner of Keisler Engineering, said this was a once in a lifetime opportunity that he couldn’t pass up. “Everyone knows that the Muncie 4-speeds are an excellent product,” he said. “With this purchase, we will be in a position to soon offer a full line of high performance gear boxes and gear sets for all the Muncie 4-speeds M-20, M-21, M-22, as well as the Chrysler A-833, Ford Toploader, Tremec T-56, T-5, T-45, T-56, and manufacture complete transmissions for ¾ to 1 ton trucks.”

A licensed Tremec distributor, Keisler Engineering was one of the first companies in the U.S. to offer five- and six-speed overdrive transmissions for the restoration market, and now offers the most complete coverage of manual-to-manual, and automatic-to-manual overdrive transmissions.
