LONG BEACH, CA -- Rancho has unveiled an advanced suspension system for a truck model that hasn’t even hit showroom floors yet: 2007 Chevy Silverado/GMC Sierra half-ton pickups. Ready to “Alter Your Ego,” Rancho suspensions, ride control products and related components are manufactured and marketed by Tenneco Inc.

“For the past two years, Rancho has earned SEMA’s top award for best new 4WD system, and we’re just as excited to bring this Silverado and Sierra system to the pool of products headed to this year’s show,” said Joe Pase, general manager for Rancho. “Rancho stands alone in delivering vehicle- and performance-matched suspension technologies for the newest truck, SUV and Jeep platforms.”

The newest Rancho suspension system (No. RS6563B), which accommodates 315/70/17 (34.5-in.) tires, enhances a new OE coil-over independent front suspension design by replacing coil-overs with Rancho RS9000X performance shock absorbers to deliver enhanced ride and handling both on and off the pavement. The system also is compatible with stock tire/wheel packages.

The Rancho Silverado/Sierra 4WD suspension system features a variety of exclusive design and construction elements to ensure maximum performance and unmatched durability, including Rancho’s legendary one-piece sub-frame. The sub-frame provides a precision-matched fit and superior strength through its laser-cut, ¼-in. thick steel construction. To provide extra strength during off-road use, Rancho includes high-clearance aft braces to maximize ground clearance.

Plus, every Rancho Silverado/Sierra system maintains OE-quality steering precision by maintaining the factory’s rack and pinion location, making it faster and easier to install. As with any Rancho system, the latest Silverado/Sierra includes detailed and illustrated instructions. No drivetrain or exhaust modifications are necessary. Preserving original equipment geometry for minimal bump steer, the new system also includes extended cast steering knuckles. Another key feature are front differential drop brackets that correct pinion angle and minimize driveline vibration. Each new suspension includes new, extended-length, DOT-certified front brake lines.

Other Rancho components and accessories available for the new Silverado/Sierra models are premium RS9000X nine-position fully adjustable shock absorbers (RS99786 front, RS99297 rear), front multi-shock kit (RS6749B), in-cab remote shock damping control system (RS99701), front skid plate (RS8716B) and lower differential skid plate (RS6201).
