FRANKFURT -- Federal-Mogul Corp chief executive Jose-Maria Alapont told German newspaper Handelsblatt that his company will not bid for ThyssenKrupp AG's U.S. auto parts operations. "We are not in talks with ThyssenKrupp," Alapont told the newspaper.
ThyssenKrupp said last month it planned to sell its North American auto body and chassis operations as part of a planned restructuring of its loss-making automotive unit.
