MOBILE, AL -- BBB Industries has acquired Genco Auto Electrical, Inc., located in New Islip, NY. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
According to Don Bigler, chief executive officer of BBB Industries, Genco President Kim Nolan and her management team will remain with the company after the acquisition to grow the business with the help of BBB's resources and national footprint.
"This acquisition is an excellent example of a key element of our growth strategy -- expanding our market leadership position through strategic acquisitions serving to capitalize on an impressive and loyal customer base," said Bigler. "We look forward to working with Kim and her dedicated team of employees to duplicate our successful track record in this exciting new market opportunity."
BBB Industries remanufactures alternators and starters for domestic and import vehicles. The company operates facilities in Alabama, California, Tennessee, Oklahoma and Mexico, and plans on maintaining the Genco facility in New York.
