October 27, 2006

LAS VEGAS -- At AAPEX 2005, the seminar “Selling Parts for Imports: Did You Ever Consider Listening to Your Customer? The Installer’s View” packed the room and had attendees talking in the show aisles. The seminar will be reprised again this year, with four premier import specialist installers as the featured speakers – Chris Coulter of Curry’s Automotive, Sterling, VA; Mike Starovich, C & M Auto Service, Glenview, IL; Mike Aronow, Sunset Auto Import Service, Las Vegas; and Bill Guinard of Olympus Imported Auto Parts Corp. in Alexandria, VA. The panel, moderated by Marty Gold of S-G Imported Car Parts of Farmington Hills, MI, will detail specifically what they want and need from their auto parts suppliers.

Discussion topics will include:

• How conscious are you of the brand of parts you install on your customer’s car?

• How can your parts supplier help you to compete with expanding dealer service

networks?

• Are your purchases through the OE dealers up or down from the last year?

• What is your greatest recurring difficulty in sourcing parts for imports? Has it

become easier or more difficult?

The seminar, which takes place on Tuesday, Oct. 31 from 7:45 to 9 a.m., in rooms 303-304 of the Sands Expo Center, is free. Continental breakfast will be served.
