Northwood Presents Automotive Aftermarket Education Award, MAAP Designations at AAPEX Luncheon

MIDLAND, MI – Northwood University honored 10 automotive aftermarket leaders with its annual Automotive Aftermarket Education Award today at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas. The awards were presented during a luncheon at the annual Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo Show (AAPEX).

Those being honored are: James C. Burkhart, vice president, global marketing, Federal Mogul Corporation, Southfield; Michael J. DeSorbo, director of market segments, CARQUEST Corporation, Raleigh, NC; Eli N. Futerman, co-president and CEO, Hahn Automotive Warehouse, Inc., Rochester, NY; W. Dominic Grote IV, vice president, sales and marketing, Grote Industries, Madison, IN; Lee Kadrich, AAP, vice president, government affairs and trade, AAIA, Bethesda, MD; Christopher J. Kersting, CAE, president & CEO, SEMA, Diamond Bar, CA; Steven D. Marks, senior vice president, marketing & advertising, Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance, Inc., San Antonio, TX; Kimberly J. McWaters, president & CEO, Universal Technical Institute, Phoenix, AZ; Robert Moore, president, Bob Moore & Partners, Kansas City, MO; and John A. Warzecha, senior vice president, franchise operations and sales, Midas International Corporation, Itasca, IL.

Northwood’s Automotive Aftermarket Education Award recognizes leaders for their contributions to the educational process in the automotive aftermarket field. The award was created to insure that these individuals receive national recognition for their efforts to improve education inside and outside the industry.

In addition, Northwood’s University of the Aftermarket presented the MAAP (Master Automotive Aftermarket Professional) designation to two longtime distribution professionals, Doug Washbish and Timothy Trudnowski.
