BOUCHERVILLE, Quebec -- Uni-Select yesterday announced it has purchased, through a subsidiary, the assets of Asher Management Group, Ltd. dba Tier Parts Warehouse and Gator, Inc. dba Hallstead Auto Parts (Tier Parts), an automotive replacement parts, equipment, tools and accessories distributor headquartered in Binghamton, NY. Tier Parts, a member of the Automotive Distribution Network under the Parts Plus banner, operates one distribution center and sixteen stores.

The business will continue operations as a business unit of Automotive Group USA, Northeast Region. This transaction coupled with Uni-Select’s May 2006 acquisition of Auto Craft Automotive Products, LLC, and its August 2006 acquisition of Markauto Parts Inc., results in a total of two distribution centers, five branch distribution centers and 28 stores added to the Northeast Region in 2006.

This business development is expected to add annual sales of $15,700,000 to Uni-Select's Automotive Group USA.
