CHANTILLY, VA George Davis was installed as secretary of the Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association (APRA) during the association’s recent “International BIG R” Show held Oct. 28-30 in Las Vegas.
Davis has been in the remanufacturing industry for the last 28 years having started his career with Precision Alternator & Starter in Fairfax, VA, in 1978. Currently, Davis is director of quality services for World Wide Automotive, Inc. in Winchester, VA. Prior to working for World Wide Automotive, Davis was a rebuilder, shop foreman, technical service advisor, environmental health, safety & security officer and ISO/QS management representative.
Davis holds a B.A. degree in Business Management from National-Louis University and an A.A.S. degree in Automotive Technology from Northern Virginia Community College.
Davis served a number of terms on APRA’s Electrical Division Board of Governors as well as serving as chairman of that division in 2000. He is a member of the American Society for Quality, the Society of Automotive Engineers, the International Automotive Technicians Network and Trout Unlimited.
Davis will serve as secretary on the APRA Executive Committee and will become APRA Chairman in 2011.
