TROY, MI -- Behr America, a global supplier of automotive air-conditioning and engine-cooling systems, recently joined the Original Equipment Suppliers Association (OESA).

OESA provides a strategic forum for automotive original equipment (OE) suppliers. The association frequently meets with OEM executives to present supplier perspectives on issues of common concern, including purchase order terms, raw material pricing issues and promoting "best practice" standards related to customer/supplier relations.

"In joining OESA, we see the benefits of sharing our experiences with other automotive suppliers in North America," said Frank Mueller, president and chief executive officer of Behr America. "This is a challenging time for most automotive suppliers and manufacturers. In our view, this was the right time to join OESA as we are expanding our presence in North America and look forward to contributing solutions to the common difficulties we all face."

"OESA welcomes Behr to our network of global automotive supplier companies," said OESA President Neil De Koker. "We are excited to add Behr to the nearly 400-member companies of OESA. Our association provides a forum for more than 3,000 senior executives from OE supplier companies to gain knowledge and value."
