KENOSHA, WI -- Snap-on has announced that Ben Brenton has joined the company as vice president innovation. In this new position, Brenton will drive innovative products, solutions and processes across all of Snap-on’s global businesses.
Brenton was most recently director of innovation for the Frito-Lay Convenience Foods division of PepsiCo. Prior to joining PepsiCo he spent more than 13 years at Kraft Foods in roles of increasing responsibility and scope. He has dedicated his time to creating brand equity and recognition for such well known products as Tropicana, Quaker, Kraft, StoveTop, Minute Rice and Good Seasons.
“Ben’s strong understanding of new product development, voice of the customer, product integration and idea facilitation in consumable goods will benefit Snap-on’s increased focus on innovation,” said Jack Michaels, Snap-on chairman, president and chief executive officer. “Throughout his career, Ben has demonstrated the ability to work with others to effectively develop new ideas, create new concepts and translate untapped customer needs into relevant new profitable products.”
Brenton holds a Bachelor of Science, Life Sciences degree and a Master of Microbiology degree from the University of Nebraska, and a Ph.D in Food Sciences and Nutrition from the University of Massachusetts.
