ORLAND PARK, IL -- The 2007 Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) is participating in the U.S. Department of Commerce International Buyer Program (IBP) that recruits foreign buyers, sales representatives and business partners to AAPEX to increase exhibitors' international sales. This year, AAPEX will be held Tuesday, Oct. 30 through Thursday, Nov. 1, at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas.
AAPEX is one of only 28 trade shows world-wide chosen for participation in IBP in 2007. As part of IBP, AAPEX is promoted globally and U.S. Commercial Service Trade Specialists recruit and lead buyer delegations to AAPEX.
"The U.S. Commercial Service expects to recruit 30-plus buyer delegations representing more than 1,500 buyers for AAIW 2007," said Mike Thompson, international trade specialist, global trade programs, U.S. Department of Commerce. "As a benefit of the International Buyer Program, qualified U.S. exhibitors will be able to meet with the delegation leaders from the various U.S. Embassies and Consulates, as well as the international buyers in each delegation. International Trade Specialists will also be available in the Center for International Commerce (CIC) to provide export counseling and market information. These services are provided at no cost to U.S. exhibitors at AAPEX."
Program participation also gives exhibitors access to hundreds of current international trade leads from the automotive aftermarket industry and presents opportunities for exhibitors to meet new business partners to expand their business globally.
The on-site CIC will offer computerized product and exporter locater export services, interpreters and private meeting spaces, as well as credit card, telephone and fax services. Exhibitors may visit the center to request lists and profiles of international buyers who are attending AAPEX.
"Exhibitors that use the matching services of the on-site CIC readily connect with quality international buyers and end up having a very successful AAPEX," said Bill Glasgow, Sr., AAPEX show manager.
International buyers come from more than 150 countries to attend AAPEX. The event attracts attendees from every industry segment, including manufacturers, wholesalers, warehouse distributors, jobbers, retailers, independent service providers, technicians, parts stores, manufacturers' reps, exporters, importers and packagers.
