SAN DIEGO, CA -- Networkcar, a wireless vehicle management provider, has appointed Keith Schneider to the position of president, effective April 9. Schneider most recently served as vice president of indirect distribution for Sprint Nextel Communications.

While at Nextel, Schneider was responsible for the strategic direction and implementation of key programs and policies supporting Nextel’s local and national third party indirect channels. Prior to this role, he served as the area president of New England operations, a $200 million business where he managed sales and distribution, marketing, finance, operations, human resources, service and repair. Schneider began his Nextel career as a general manager in Southern California, launching and building one of Nextel’s first and largest markets.

“Keith’s experience is broad based and ranges from strategic to operational. This appointment is a key step in enabling Networkcar to continue implementing its strategic vision. The opportunities before us have never been greater,” said Jeffrey Leddy, CEO of Hughes Telematics Inc., Networkcar’s parent company.

Schneider is a graduate of California State University, Fullerton, with a bachelor of science degree in international marketing. He also holds a masters of arts in management from John F. Kennedy University. In addition, Schneider participated in the Strategic Business Leadership Certificate program at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business.

“Networkcar has been very successful at working with customers and enhancing its service offerings. The company is in a great position to take advantage of growing market opportunities,” said Schneider. “I look forward to working with the Networkcar team at this exciting time for the company.”
