POMONA, CA GoldenWest Lubricants is celebrating the re-launch of Prolong Super Lubricants with a $1 million advertising campaign in a number of consumer automotive enthusiast publications.
"Our advertising is going to appear during the critical months from April through September, when enthusiasts devote the most time to the care of their vehicles," said Mike Griffiths, vice president of GoldenWest Lubricants, Inc. "This advertising campaign is going to remind consumers that Prolong makes the top quality products that protect their vehicles, especially during the heavy driving season."
The initial ad shows a bottle of Prolong Super Lubricant with a straw. The headline is "Drive Responsibly," and the copy refers to the product's ability to offer "refreshment" to today's modern, high-performance engines.
GoldenWest, which recently acquired the assets of Prolong, Inc., manufactures a wide range of premium automotive and industrial lubricants as well as automotive detailing products. Prolong products are sold in AutoZone, Pep Boys and other fine automotive retailers throughout the United States and in select international markets.
