SCHULENBERG, TX -- IMCO (International Muffler Co.) has acquired Tubex Manufacturing Ltd., which produces pre-bent exhaust pipes for sale in the U.S. and Canada.

Tubex is based in Brampton, Ontario.

IMCO purchased the Maremont exhaust division from ArvinMeritor in March 2006. Among its product lines is the performance Cherry Bomb line.

According to IMCO, all Tubex employees have been retained, and contacts with the company for orders and customer service will remain the same. Tubex products will continue to made and distributed from the company’s Brampton facility, and the Tubex, IMCO and Maremont brands will continue to operate independently.
