TULSA, OK -- During the recent 2007 Global Automotive Aftermarket Symposium, Dayco Products was awarded Polk’s Inventory Efficiency Award (in the Manufacturer Category) for its contribution to inventory management process improvement. Dayco manufactures belts, hose, tensioners, pulleys and timing belt components for both the OE market and the aftermarket.

Commenting on the recognition, Dennis Welvaert, president of Dayco North America Aftermarket stated: “Dayco’s initiatives are all about industry data standards. By becoming compliant with industry data standards, not only have our plants become more efficient, but the standards have in turn enabled our logistics centers to manage our inventories in a more cost effective manner while still meeting the “fill rates” required by the various channels of distribution that we service.
