RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC – Stanadyne is sponsoring the Stanadyne Scholarship Award program to recognize up-and-coming young people working in or preparing to enter the diesel engine service industry. The award has been established to encourage young people to become more closely involved with the Association of Diesel Specialists (ADS).

Stanadyne provides technology and services for engine components and fuel systems including diesel fuel injection and filtration systems, valve train components and oil and fuel supply pumps used in agricultural, construction, industrial and automotive vehicle and equipment applications. Stanadyne is headquartered in Windsor, CT, and has facilities in the United States, Brazil, France, Italy and India.

Stanadyne is offering two $1,500 scholarships to technicians who research and write a technical paper about a diesel fuel injection topic pertinent to the diesel service industry. The paper should be suitable for publication in the ADS newsletter, Nozzle Chatter , and other industry publications.

The winners will receive complimentary registration to attend the ADS International Convention & Tradeshow. The $1,500 scholarships will be used to pay the travel fees for recipients. At the Convention, the winners will also be presented a Stanadyne Scholarship Award during a formal ceremony.

“Developing the technicians we have today and retaining this talent is very important to the future of the diesel industry and even more important to the Diesel Fuel Injection Industry,” said Tom Folmar, ADS president and CEO of Southeast Power Systems Inc., based in Orlando, FL. “We are pleased at Stanadyne’s commitment to allow technicians just entering the field a chance to get to know seasoned technicians and industry veterans through attendance at the annual ADS International Convention & Tradeshow.”
