Intermet Names Eric Showalter to Head Combined Group

FORT WORTH, TX -- Intermet Corp., a manufacturer of cast-metal automotive components, has appointed Eric Showalter group president of newly formed Intermet Die Cast group. In this role, Showalter will have full responsibility for all of Intermet's Die Cast operations.

Showalter has more than 14 years experience in the manufacturing sector. He joined Intermet as director of engineering when Intermet acquired Ganton Technologies/Diemakers in February 2000. Prior to joining Intermet, he held leadership positions at J.L. French and operations positions at Rockwell International. He also has international operations experience in Japan and China.

Showalter has a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from Bradley University and a master's degree in business administration from the Stephen M Ross School of Business at The University of Michigan.
