ISC Statement on the Passing of Dr. Bruce Kennedy
July 11, 2007

DAYTONA BEACH, FL -- International Speedway Corp. (ISC) yesterday issued a statement in response to the tragic death of Dr. Bruce Kennedy, husband of ISC President Lesa France Kennedy.

According to a report from NASCAR, Dr. Kennedy was piloting a plane that crashed into two homes in Florida. Earlier media reports inaccurately stated that Lesa France Kennedy was a passenger on the plane. No ISC officers or employees were on-board the plane. Kennedy’s passenger was Michael Klemm, a senior captain with NASCAR Aviation. They were the only two people on the plane.

ISC Executive Vice President and COO John Saunders said: "Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved in the plane crash that occurred in Sanford, FL. We are deeply saddened by the loss of Dr. Bruce Kennedy, and others that have been lost or injured in this tragic accident. We ask that you respect the privacy of the Kennedy and France families while they deal with this terrible loss."
