RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC -- Dan Smith, associate administrator for enforcement for the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), will address the risks and potential hidden costs associated with global sourcing of automotive aftermarket parts from 1-2:30 pm, Monday, Oct. 29, in Room 202, Sands Expo Center. The seminar is offered by the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA) at the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) in Las Vegas.
“We are pleased to have Dan as our guest, and we are looking forward to his insights regarding the expertise and competencies required to successfully and legally source from China and other countries,” said Steve Handschuh, president and COO of AASA, who will moderate the seminar. “He will address the potential liabilities imposed on the importer or manufacturer of record by the U.S. government. We urge manufacturers, distributors and retailers participating in AAPEX to learn more about this critical issue at our seminar.”
The seminar is free to all registered AAPEX attendees. For more information, contact Chris Gardner of AASA, 919-406-8830 or email cgardner@mema.org.
