MILAN, OH -- Corteco Americas has appointed Bradley Norton to president of the company, effective Sept. 5. Corteco is the aftermarket business of Freudenberg-NOK that offers premium brands including TransTec transmission and power steering kits and components.

Norton has 20 years of experience growing businesses, primarily in the commercial vehicle market. His senior management experience with multinational companies including Borg Warner, Nissan North America and Honeywell (Bendix Truck Brakes and Garrett Turbocharging) provides Norton with the expertise necessary to implement Corteco’s strategic goals, the company said. His education includes a masters of business administration degree from Ashland University and a bachelors of science degree in finance from Akron University.

Norton will succeed Thomas Musgrave as president of Corteco. Musgrave, who greatly improved Corteco’s operations and positioned it for future growth, will now become president of Freudenberg-NOK’s automotive sales.

“I am honored to lead Corteco Americas and build on the great legacy Tom Musgrave and the Corteco Team have shaped,” Norton said.

With the completion of the divestiture of its North American traditional aftermarket business, Corteco and Norton will work to increase global market share and expand into other markets, regions and products for its TransTec brand. In addition, Corteco will continue to focus on improving product quality and reducing costs to better serve OES and co-manufacturing customers, the company said.
