ALGONA, IOWA -- Universal Mfg. Co. of Algona, Iowa, announced earnings of 17 cents per share on sales of $2.5 million for the first quarter of the current fiscal year, which ended Oct. 31. This compares to 10 cents per share on sales of $2.2 million the first quarter a year ago.
Don Heupel, president of Universal Mfg. Co., attributed the sales increase to continued strong demand for remanufactured transfer case assemblies which are produced at the company’s manufacturing facility.
