Reuters reported this morning that Kumho Tire Co. plans to build its first North American tire plant in Georgia .
According to the report, Kumho will invest some $165 million to construct the passenger/light truck tire plant, which will reportedly have an annual capacity of 2.1 million units.
Kumho officials announced last November that it was considering building an automated tire plant in the U.S. , and was considering sites in Alabama and Georgia .
