WASHINGTON, DC – Oklahoma House Bill 2820, creating the Motor Vehicle Owners Right to Repair Act, was heard Feb. 19 by the House Economic Development and Financial Services’ Subcommittee on Industry and Labor. Rep. Daniel Sullivan introduced the bill Feb. 4.

The subcommittee voted against the bill by a vote of 7-0.

Oklahoma was one of several states to pursue “Right to Repair” legislation at the state level. Florida, Maine, Nevada and New Jersey also introduced “Right to Repair” bills in the past year.
