AVON, Ohio Ken Lark has been named vice president of sales and marketing at Bearing Technologies, Ltd. (BT), a manufacturer and private labeler of wheel hub assemblies and clutch release, racing, repair and industrial bearings. Reporting directly to BT President and CEO Laz Tromler, Lark will serve in the same capacity for North Coast Bearings, Inc. (NCB), a major supplier of differential and transmission rebuild kits, bearings and related components, which was acquired by BT earlier this year.
Prior to the acquisition, Lark served as a marketing consultant for NCB.
“Ken’s accomplishments at NCB, combined with his broad background in the automotive aftermarket, make him uniquely qualified to head up marketing and sales for our newly combined entity,” said Tromler.
In his new role, Lark will spearhead the company’s corporate growth initiative of reaching $110 million in sales by the year 2010. He also is charged with marketing BT’s and NCB’s multiple product lines, integrating NCB efforts with those of BT, managing the entity’s combined North American sales network and expanding distribution channels.
Lark brings more than 30 years of sales and marketing experience in the automotive aftermarket to his new post. His background includes more than 21 years with SKF (formerly Chicago Rawhide), in addition to time spent with NSK Corp., a global supplier of ball and roller bearings, where he served as automotive aftermarket segment manager. He also served as vice president, sales and marketing at G&B Distribution.
