McHENRY, Ill. The newly expanded line of Raybestos professional grade hub assemblies features new packaging, a torque spec guide, installation instructions and warning tags. These hub units are manufactured by OE suppliers and feature more coverage than short-line economy offerings.
Raybestos hub assemblies offer more SKUs for greater than 95 percent coverage. Starting with OE specs, these parts are engineered with improvements and solutions to problems discovered after the OE parts have been subjected to the grueling realities of real life driving. According to Raybestos, the manufacturing process includes continuous testing for endurance, temperature control, hydraulic and salt resistance, metallurgical integrity and vibration.
As with all automotive technology, hubs have evolved as the demands for lighter, smaller, simpler-to-install and durability-maximized products have increased on the part of OEMss. All three generations of Raybestos hubs take advantage of newly available computerized machining techniques to produce a simplified, much more precise hub that consists of only three major parts with much tighter tolerances. They are maintenance-free, self-contained and preloaded and require no adjustment, according to the company. In addition, Raybestos hubs feature on average 40 percent fewer parts than other manufacturers.
