ROCKLAND, Mass -- Ramesh Lhila, Ph.D., has joined the staff of Venture Tape Corp. as technical director of the Massachusetts-based company.

Venture Tape Corp. is a worldwide manufacturer of specialty tapes with facilities throughout Asia, Australia, Europe and North America.

Lhila is a polymer scientist by training with extensive industry experience working for such companies as Dentsply Caulk, Scapa Tapes and Tesa Tuck, Inc. In his new role at Venture Tape, he will lead the company’s research and development effort and play a key role in new product development and business strategy.

Lhila earned his Ph.D. in Polymer Science from The University of Akron and his undergraduate degree from the University of Calcutta in India. Lhila has published many scientific papers and holds several product patents.
