SPOKANE, Wash. -- E.R. "Bud" Brown, 83, founder of the Bud Brown Tire Center in Spokane, Wash., and past president of both the Northwest Tire Dealers Association (NWTDA) and the National Tire Dealers and Retreaders Association (NTDRA), has passed away.
Born in North Platte, Neb., Brown moved to Spokane in 1963 and opened his tire store in 1971. He remained as owner until 1989.
He served two terms as president of the NWTDA, and was NTDRA president in 1986.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jane Raymond Brown, and is survived by his wife of 15 years, Natalie Codd Concie Brown; daughter Jan; sons Mark, Russ and Jeff; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
