ORLAND PARK, Ill. – More than 1,500 companies will participate in the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) virtual space draw, which will begin on Monday, May 5. During this time, AAPEX will assign approximately 500,000 net square feet of exhibit space for this year’s event. AAPEX 2008 takes place Tuesday, November 4 through Thursday, November 6, at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas.

By show time in November, AAPEX is expected to have more than 2,100 exhibitors from around the world and almost 5,000 booths.

This is the fifth year that AAPEX will use an online space draw instead of the traditional method of assigning space that required exhibitors to travel to the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas to participate.

“The cost-savings and efficiencies, including time out of the office, are especially beneficial with this online process,” said Bill Glasgow Sr., AAPEX show manager. “The online space draw also levels the playing field so that all companies have the same opportunity to select their exhibit space.”

AAPEX Show Management calls each participating exhibitor at a pre-assigned date and time during the online space draw. The exhibitor selects their booth space by viewing an online floor plan at www.aapexshow.com, and the floor plan is updated after every booth selection. The process also allows for one-on-one communication between exhibitors and show management to address any questions related to the space draw and the event.

The drawing for booth selection order, which is based on seniority, was held March 27 at W.T. Glasgow, Inc., in Orland Park, Ill., under the supervision of the auditing firm Levinson, Simon & Sprung. All companies that submitted their contracts by the deadline date qualified to participate in the drawing.
