MASSILLON, Ohio – U.S. Chemical & Plastics, a division of Alco Industries which makes repair, refinish, appearance and maintenance products for the automotive aftermarket, has earned ISO 9001:2000 certification.

“Automotive aftermarket customers want to work with companies dedicated to providing goods and services that exceed their expectations for quality, consistency and delivery,” said Tom Perry, president. “U.S. Chemical has a long history of implementing process improvements and quality standards that ensure our customers receive the best we have to offer. This certification officially recognizes our commitment to quality and will help us build our customer base around the world.”

Issued by the International Organization for Standardization, ISO 9001:2000 certification specifies quality management system requirements for organizations that need to demonstrate their ability to provide products that meet customer and applicable regulatory requirements. It also helps enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system.

“The end result is consistency and continuous improvement with a focus on customer feedback and satisfaction,” said Duane Souder, manager of quality. “Our entire organization, from research and development to customer service and shipping, is dedicated to upholding these high standards of conduct.”
