BENICIA, Calif. -- IDG's CIO magazine today announced today that 1-800-Radiator is one of the recipients of the prestigious 2008 CIO 100 award. The 21st annual award program recognizes organizations around the world that exemplify the highest level of operational and strategic excellence in information technology (IT).

"The CIO 100 honors organizations that have used technology in innovative ways to generate value to the business," said Abbie Lundberg, editor in chief of CIO magazine. "Unlike other top lists, it's not just about who's biggest -- it's about who's doing the most interesting and relevant things."

"1-800-Radiator's number-one goal is to provide our franchisees with systems they need to successfully grow their franchise territories. We have recruited some of the most talented IT people in the San Francisco Bay Area and invested significantly in a computer system designed in-house to give our owners the tools necessary to compete effectively against those that have been in this industry for years," said Mike Rippey, CEO of 1-800-Radiator. "The CIO award is an important recognition of the hard work our team has put toward providing technologically advanced tools and creating a stable environment, all of which is a major factor in our considerable growth."

The 2008 CIO 100 awards will be presented at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs , Colo. , on Aug. 26 at the conclusion of the10th annual CIO 100 Symposium and Awards Ceremony.
