Johnson Controls, which announced last week that it will begin several cost-cutting restructuring activities in the fourth quarter, is closing a plant in Kentucky in order to cut costs.
According to a report from the Detroit Free Press, the plant, located in Cadiz, Ky., makes stampings and welded-metal assemblies for vehicle seats. The plant will begin shutting down in November and will be completely closed by mid-2009. Nearly 560 employees will be affected.
