MIDLAND, MI North America’s largest outdoor new car show is only days away and speculation is that it will be one of the best shows yet. This year’s theme, “The Fantasy of Innovation,” will give viewers an opportunity to experience the future in automotive design and gain an appreciation of automotive advances.
Ryan McGinty, chair of the Northwood University International Auto Show (NUIAS), says that around 700 students are participating this year and that the 40,000 visitors will have plenty to see. This year’s show will be held at Northwood’s Midland, MI, campus on Oct. 6, 7 and 8. This classic car show will be held Oct. 8 and includes a cruise through the Mall Walk on campus.
Exhibits will line the Mall Walk, offering a variety of food, refreshments, information and entertainment. The auto show is free of charge and is open to the public. Show hours are Oct. 6, 1-6 pm; Oct. 7, 9 am-6 pm; and Oct. 8 10 am-5 pm.
The show begins with a VIP panel that consists of Shau-Wai Lam, president and CEO of DCH Auto Group; Luanne Brown, founder of eTool Developers; Faith Barnese, vice president of SEMA and Mike Lang, vice president of marketing, Manheim. The panel will discuss and predict future innovations within the automotive industry.
