2014 Most Influential Women Winners Announced

Established in 1999 by AkzoNobel, WIN acquired stewardship of the Most Influential Women program in 2013.

LEESBURG, Va. – The Women’s Industry Network (WIN) has announced this year’s recipients of the Most Influential Women award. The award is given annually to women in the collision repair industry who exemplify qualities of business and civic leadership, vision and commitment to excellence.

This year’s recipients are:
·      Frederica Carter, president of F. Carter Events LLC (formerly Communications Manager at AkzoNobel)
·      Jordan Hendler, executive director, Washington Metropolitan Autobody Association
·      Leanne Jefferies, director, Collision Programs, AIA Canada

“I was impressed with the energy, accomplishment and commitment of all the nominees who spanned a broad range of responsibilities,” said Russell Long of Change Innovations, the leadership development and executive coaching firm engaged to evaluate the nominees. “These honorees demonstrated a well-rounded leadership profile in their professional roles as well as in their communities.”

The Most Influential Women Gala Dinner and Award Ceremony will be held in conjunction with WIN’s 2014 Educational Conference, May 5-7 at Paradise Point in San Diego, Calif.

“As we approach the final stages of planning for the first MIW Award Ceremony under WIN’s care, we are excited to carry on this important tradition begun by AkzoNobel,” said Margaret Knell, chair of the MIW committee and director of corporate administration at I-CAR. “It is our honor to recognize these leaders in the collision repair industry, and we look forward to the privilege of awarding the MIW award to exemplary female leaders in the years to come.”

Established in 1999 by AkzoNobel, WIN acquired stewardship of the Most Influential Women program in 2013.

“It was our privilege to bring this program innovation to the industry and nurture it for 14 years,” said Doug Holmberg, director of vehicle refinishes for AkzoNobel Automotive & Aerospace Coatings North America. “Focusing attention on the talents presented by female leaders in the industry ultimately helped serve as a catalyst for the founding of WIN. We are pleased to know that the program is now sustained under WIN’s careful management and look forward to participating as the program grows in the years to come.”

In addition to the MIW Gala, the conference, entitled “Power Up!” consists of two and a half days of educational content and networking opportunities. For more information about the conference, go to http://thewomensindustrynetwork.ning.com/page/2014-conference.
