Organizers of the 13th annual Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW’18) announced the new leadership team for the conference, to be held Jan. 22-25, 2018, at The Mirage in Las Vegas. Organizers include CVSN, HDDA and HDMA.
The HDAW’18 co-chairs are Troy Zurbuchen, president, Midwest Heavy Duty and Midwest Trailer Sales, and Matt Forner, director, aftermarket sales, Grote Industries. The HDAW’18 distributor vice chair is Ian Johnston of Harman HVS.
HDAW distributor and supplier co-chairs are responsible for the strategic leadership of the event and involvement with the volunteer/staff program planning teams, which consist of more than 40 individuals from aftermarket supplier and distributor companies and organizations.
“The networking and industry collaboration at HDAW is tremendous, but we want to make it even better. We plan to focus on informing attendees as to how to make the most out of the week-long conference, and to really highlight the highly beneficial elements of the week; from education to training, high-value interacting and best business practices,” said Zurbuchen.
“I am honored to be picked as the supplier co-chair for HDAW’18. This has always been one of the most productive and beneficial conferences I have attended throughout my career. My co-chair Troy Zurbuchen and I have very similar working styles and knowledge in our approach to the industry. I look forward to working with him and the group to take this year’s HDAW conference to a new level for all involved,” said Forner.
The HDAW leadership team focuses on delivering relevance for the annual conference’s key elements, including the distributor education program, pre-scheduled supplier/distributor one-on-one meetings, the HDAW product expo and the numerous networking opportunities that are an integral part of the conference.
“Our goal is to create value for every person in attendance. It is definitely the people that make all our partnerships grow that produce the profits needed for our companies and industry to thrive,” said Forner.
HDAW is the largest North American gathering of the independent heavy-duty aftermarket industry. More than 2,500 executives and managers from the U.S., Canada and six other countries – including distributors, suppliers, service providers, educators and industry media – attended the 2017 conference in Las Vegas.
